Concept hotel chrstina

chromatics

The predominant shades in the interior are white and with a discreet vanilla shade of the floor.  On top of these, there are Christina's four colours that climb separately on the four vertical columns of rooms.
Associated with another strong colour, the white usually creates a clear-cut contrast.  To avoid this contrast, the white is, in this case, balanced with warm shades, starting from yellow and red, namely: the yellow of the sun; the raw green of spring grass; the mauve of chrysanthemums; and bougainvillea pink.  Without being pastel, the colours retain the relaxing optimism of pastels, optimism that we have considered absolutely essential for a hotel room.
While each room has a dominant colour, the telescopic shaped space formed by the upper-basement, ground floor and mezzanine is in two colours, namely the same raw green in combination with a pink that is neither pale, nor luminous (the kind of angelic pink used or worn by Karim Rashid).  The reception, the lobby, the meeting areas, the breakfast room and the restaurant, all these are gathered in a telescopic space and separated only by level differences; they are characterised by this pop style chromatic duo, which in point of materials translates into a combination of Corian (translucid white, grapegreen and bougainvillea pink) and light cherry (white, green and pink).  Light travels everywhere: surrounds net reliefs cut into the ceiling, opens up in hundreds of colourful points using optic fibres or emphasizes through long stripes in the floor, on the walls or on the ceiling, movement and direction.  The tables and settees are themselves sources of light (diffuse and discreet) so that the space design may be dictated only by a few essential details and a few repetitive patterns.
